Is your meat halal?
Yes. All of our meat is sourced from certified halal butchers.
Do you cater to food allergies and dietary needs?
We sure do. Our menu features a wide range of dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly dishes. If you have allergies or specific requests, our team will happily guide you through the best options.
Bookings & Seating
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. We welcome walk-ins daily, though bookings are recommended during busy periods like weekends.
Do you take large group bookings?
Absolutely. We host groups of all sizes and offer set menus perfect for celebrations. For bigger bookings or private events, our team can help tailor the experience.
Do you offer table service?
Yes, all dining at Mejico is fully serviced by our team. Guests do not order directly from the bar.
Is outdoor seating available?
Yes, we have outdoor seating and dogs are very welcome in that area. We don’t take outdoor bookings to avoid disappointment in case of wet weather, but you’re welcome to request an outdoor table on arrival. Seating is offered on a first come, first served basis.
Are children welcome?
Definitely. Mejico is a family-friendly venue and kids are always welcome.

Do you offer set menus?
Yes. We have set menu options that showcase our favourite dishes and are ideal for groups or anyone wanting the full Mejico feast.
Do you offer Bottomless Margaritas?
Yes, every Saturday and Sunday lunch. Expect 90 minutes of bottomless margaritas and a delicious shared menu.
Do you offer takeaway?
Yes, we do. You can place orders in person or over the phone, and we’re also available on Uber Eats.
How many tequilas do you have?
We have one of the largest agave spirit collections in the southern hemisphere, with over 350 expressions including tequila, mezcals, raicillas, sotols, and more. Join us for a masterclass if you’d like to dive deeper into the world of agave.
Do you accommodate birthdays and special occasions?
We love a celebration. Let us know when you book and we’ll make it feel special.
Can I bring my own cake?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring a cake. We don’t charge a cakeage fee, though we don’t cut or serve it, so feel free to take care of that part yourselves.
Can I bring decorations for a celebration?
Simple table décor is absolutely fine. We just ask that you avoid anything messy or disruptive such as feathers, confetti, or items that may disturb other guests.

Do you accept split bills?
Yes. We can split bills at the table.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash and all major credit cards and contactless payments are accepted.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Our team is always happy to assist with seating or access needs.
DIRECTIONS
How do I get to Mejico?
We’re easy to reach by car or public transport. The closest Wilson Parking is located 750m away on Holt Street. If you’re coming by public transport, both Central Station and Surry Hills light rail stop are a 700m walk. Bus routes 304 and 352 stop approximately 90m from the restaurant.
